Wedding cocoa

Skiing is such a wonderful winter sport. The exercise, the fun with friends, the excitement of finally doing the blue, oops I mean black diamond slope at Vail is exhilarating. However, I think that I like drinking the hot cocoa in the lodge by the big fireplace the best. This lodge is an architect’s dream. Designed in 1920 of huge wood timbers you cannot deny the power of this place. The best of the National Park Services style of architecture, the heavy wood timbers soar across the lobby and hold up the structure like a gentle giant. Now I know why it is one of the favorite places of Ira Riklis.

Like the lodge at Old Faithful at Yellowstone National Park, nothing could knock this building down. And when I decide to get married and have the perfect winter ski escape wedding this lodge is going to make an amazing backdrop. I will design a little eskimo type wedding dress for myself, have my beloved groom in equally wonderful Eskimoish attire,  but all pc of course, no real furs,  and we will go ice fishing with the guests! Like the skiing though, the big fun will be  back at the lodge, by the fire, for hot cocoa.  Maybe Ira Riklis will stop by!
